Committee details

Children and Young People's Services Scrutiny Committee

Purpose of committee

The Children and Young People's Services Scrutiny Committee is responsible for the overview and scrutiny of:

·        social services for children and young people

·        education, including adult education

·        youth support and development services

·        community health and health liaison for children and families

The Scrutiny Committee also includes four ‘co-opted’ members, representing parent governors and the Church of England and Roman Catholic Diocesan. These members may be involved in all aspects of the work of the Committee, but may only vote on issues relating to the education of children and young people.

An election was held for a parent governor representative on 2 July 2019 and the results are now available.
