Additional information

Dr Ian Gibson is a former Senior Civil Servant who has held a number of Director-level appointments. Originally from Scarborough, Ian has lived in Crawley Down for nearly 25 years and represents the village as an elected Independent Councillor on Mid Sussex District Council as well as West Sussex County Council. He is also a member of Worth and Turners Hill Parish Councils. His main objective in seeking election at county-level was to enable him to complement the District Council responsibility for development with the County Council responsibility for the highways. He is also a believer that his background in promoting technology and innovation will enable him to make a significant contribution to the economic recovery.

Ian was elected as an Independent.

Ian’s interests include running the Repair Café in Crawley Down, keeping wallabies and riding on Ashdown Forest.
