Councillor Andrew Kerry-Bedell

Andrew Kerry-Bedell has lived in Chidham Parish for over a decade, working to support small businesses with growth advice, technology and grants through his consulting business and Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership.

He has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Building Conservation. He has worked for 35 years in marketing, technology and engineering with global companies through to local businesses.

Andrew co-founded campaigning groups Save our Harbour Villages and the Chidham and Hambrook Parish Action Group. He set up the Bourne Community Bus for free local travel and is a trustee with the Southbourne Community Land Trust developing affordable housing.

In his spare time he enjoys upcycling from multiple materials, squash, cycling, skiing, foreign travel, reading and listening to music. He is currently writing a disaster novel. His partner works in the charity sector and a fundraiser for local organic food and events charity Tuppenny Barn.
