Contingency Accommodation Arrangements (Rolling Entry)

West Sussex County Council supports individuals and families arriving in the UK through various government schemes and is responsible for a range of support services for these households and for assisting with securing permanent accommodation. Temporary accommodation may be needed whilst seeking longer term solutions. This is fully funded via the Home Office.

This report seeks approval from the Assistant Director (Communities) to increase the authority to spend on contracts for temporary accommodation by the Refugee Resettlement and Migration Service, from the amount approved in the previous key decision to a new total of £5m by or before 31st December 2025.  The funding has been provided by the Government.
