Make New Broadway (BN11) a CPZ

We the undersigned petition the council to New Broadway, is mainly a mix of shops and flats. People who live and work there are frustrated because they often get parking tickets, even when they're parked near their own place, and they can't buy a permit to avoid this. The parking rules aren't enforced consistently, leading to a lot of tickets when the wardens do show up. Also, Enterprise Rent-A-Car is using a lot of the available parking spaces and means the surrounding roads get congested with traffic and people who wish to not only park outside their properties but go to work and use the local businesses struggle to park often, and end up with parking tickets. We therefore would like the council to consider making this a CPZ in order to satisfy the people who live, work in and visit the area.

Creating a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in this area may benefit the local council in several ways:
* Revenue generation: Selling parking permits generates additional revenue for the council, which can be used to fund various public services and infrastructure projects.
* Regulation of parking: By issuing permits, the council can better regulate parking in residential areas, reducing congestion and ensuring fair access to parking spaces for residents with more frequent and regular patrols by wardens.
* Encouraging compliance: Permit systems can encourage residents to comply with parking regulations, as they have a vested interest in maintaining order and accessibility in their neighborhoods.
* Data collection: Permit systems provide valuable data on parking demand and usage patterns, which can inform future planning and policy decisions related to transportation and urban development.
* Improved resident satisfaction: Offering parking permits to residents can enhance their overall satisfaction with local government services by providing a convenient parking solution tailored to their needs.
