This week, my seven year old son was hit by a car on his way home from school. This is not an isolated incident, and it has come to our attention that road safety has been a very real issue in this area for many years.
There is nowhere safe to cross the road.
This is not good enough, given the amount of traffic on Shooting
Field at school drop-off and pick-up times.
We want crossings, so that our children can walk home in safety. We feel that this is an issue that has been raised and ignored several times over at least the last 10 years, and we want action now.
Children have been injured - do not wait for a fatality before you take action.
