The Arun Growth Programme (2018) identified a public realm improvement scheme along the section of the Esplanade between Lennox Street and Clarence Road. This links with Levelling Up Funded Improvements that Arun District Council are making at the Alexandra Theatre alongside the recently approved planning application for a new Premier Inn on the corner of the Esplanade and Clarence Road.
The project budget was approved in decision SSED02(24/25). The construction budget allows for Contractor’s charges, third party contractor costs and professional fees amongst other budget allowances.

The Director of Place Services has awarded a contract to the value of £386,255.57 to Landbuild Ltd for the construction of the Bognor Regis Esplanade Public Realm Improvement as set out in the report. The construction is set to commence in October 2024 with anticipated completion by April 2025.

Care and support at home services (also known as domiciliary care or home care) are purchased by the county council on behalf of people who have been assessed as having eligible social care needs. These services support people to maintain their independence through the delivery of personal care and support, provided within a person’s own home.
A decision was taken in January 2024 (AS03(23/24)) to extend the current contract arrangements and to commence the procurement of care and support at home services with new contracting arrangements planned to commence on 29th September 2024.
Following the commencement and completion of a procurement process, as approved by the Cabinet Member for Adults Services, the Director of Adults and Health will be asked to agree contract awards.

The Director of Adults and Health has approved that;
1) the Care and Support at Home (2024) Framework be awarded to organisations listed in Appendix 1, as ‘qualified’ providers, noting 15 awards require bidders’ to have an office in place to meet contractual requirements by 29 September 2024; for a period of four (4) years commencing on 29 September 2024, with the potential to extend by up to a further three (3) years; and
2) Issuing of contracts for current providers listed in Appendix 2 who have current packages of care but did not bid or were unsuccessful, as ‘unqualified’ providers, following the process outlined in the Invitation to Tender (ITT).
