Communities, Highways and Environment Scrutiny Committee

Purpose of committee

Formerly known as the Environment and Communities Scrutiny Committee, the Communities, Highways and Environment Scrutiny Committee is responsible for the overview and scrutiny of the Cabinet portfolios areas set out below (full details of Cabinet portfolio responsibilities are available via the website).

 

·         Environment and Climate Change portfolio

·         Community Support, Fire and Rescue portfolio (apart from Fire and Rescue and Emergency Planning)

·         Highways and Transport portfolio

·         Crime and Disorder functions of the Crime and Disorder (Overview and Scrutiny) Regulations 2009
