Provision of Domestic Abuse Housing Support Services will provide support and accommodation to those fleeing Domestic Abuse in West Sussex. The accommodation will be provided in dispersed units rather than in traditional refuge style and will be accessible to a much wider range of customers, such as those with older male children, women with additional needs such as mental or physical health issues, larger families and men experiencing domestic abuse.
A Procurement Process in compliance with West Sussex County Council Standing Orders on Procurement and Contracts and the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 has been undertaken. The tender covered the whole county of West Sussex and required bidders to provide at least 16 units of accommodation – 8 units in the north and 8 in the south. Following feedback from bidders that had expressed an interest, the tender was split into 2 Lots – North and South.
The Assistant Director (Communities) is now asked to award the contract, following evaluation that identified the sole bidder for Lot 1 - North (The You Trust) as being fully compliant, meeting the required standards.
The Assistant Director of Communities has approved that the contract to provide Domestic Abuse services in West Sussex – Lot 1 North - is awarded to the You Trust. Commencing on 1st April 2024, for an initial term of 2 years with the option to extend for a period, or periods, of up to 2 years. The maximum contract term is therefore 4 years.
