The Community Initiative Fund is a County Local Committee (CLC) administered fund that provides assistance to local community projects.

The Director of Law and Assurance, in consultation with the Chairman of the Joint Western Arun Area Committee and the Chairman of the Performance and Finance Scrutiny Committee, has used his delegated powers under Standing Order 3.45 to decide the following CIF Applications:

That the following Community Initiative Fund awards be made:

Micro Fund

•        543/JWAAC – Bognor and Chichester Voice Self-Advocacy Group, ‘Enabling virtual meetings’, £300.00 - towards purchasing 10 tablets for members’ use enabling virtual group meetings.

•        556/JWAAC – KTroo Chichester and Bognor, ‘4x free bounce and laugh sessions’, £705.00 - towards delivering four, free active sessions to children key stages 2-5.

West Sussex Crowd

•        546/JWAAC – Bognor Regis Seafront Lights, ‘Bognor Regis Illuminations 2020’, up to £1,811.00 - towards the cost of purchasing and installing five new light displays.

•        549/JWAAC – 4Sight Vision Support, ‘A little kindness goes a long way’, up to £1,578.00 - towards purchasing large print crossword books to be delivered to people living with blindness.

•        560/JWAAC – My Sisters' House Women's Centre, ‘Drop-in for help, support & safety’, up to £2,000.00 - for the cost of employing an extra complex needs worker for a 9-month period.
